Conrad holds graduate and professional qualifications in Youth & Community Studies, Leadership in Health & Social Care, clinical supervision and Child Protection. His experience within the field of Child Protection and Community Work spans almost two decades. This time has been spent working in both national and international contexts as a practitioner and manager across a range of disciplines including – Harmful Sexual Behaviours, Missing Children, Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), Therapeutic Residential Child Care and Family Intervention Services.
Session Formats Offered
Individual or group supervision sessions. Sessions can be conducted face-to-face, via Skype or phone. Session times are negotiable. Willing to travel remote for face-to-face where multiple supervisees are available within same 24 hour period.
Conrad takes a Post-Structuralist approach to supervision – narrative, strengths based, solution focused and reflective practice. Professional areas of interest include - Reflective practice. Social Policy. Victim blaming and the pathologisation of young people who have been sexually exploited or display harmful sexual behaviours. Conrad currently leads the National Strategic Partnership on Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and co-chairs a working group on the Sunshine Coast aimed at addressing CSE. In addition to this he also delivers training to professionals across Australia on the subject.
