Dr Gávi Ansara (He/him)
I am an AAFT-Accredited Clinical Supervisor prioritising anti-racist, transcultural, anti-oppressive practice within a liberation psychotherapy framework. I support therapists/healing practitioners with cultural humility toward people with marginalised lived experiences who seek liberation from intrapsychic, interpersonal, institutional, and societal forms of oppression. From a liberation psychotherapy perspective, therapist "neutrality" is rejected as an unsafe form of colluding with systemic oppression. Instead, we address the commitment to advocacy and anti-oppressive justice as key components of ethical therapeutic work. I am an AAFT-registered Clinical Family Therapist, PACFA-registered Clinical Psychotherapist and Relationship Counsellor, and Pink Therapy Advanced Accredited Gender, Sex, Sexuality, and Relationships Diversities Therapist (AAGSRDT). I also hold specialist qualifications in trauma, grief, loss, end of life & palliative care, youth & refugee mental health.
